Hobbies/Interests
Reading, Art, Antiques – fun with my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; have china and crystal collections – collection (small) of paintings by mother-in-law, Pearl Routon, grandson, Tom Routon Williams and son, Richard Routon, also sculpture by Tom Williams; 
collect family recipes that hope to put together in small cookbook. 

Volunteer Activities
Part-time volunteer at Henry County Archives preserving court records;
volunteered as Proctor during T-Cap tests in Kindergarten class at 
McKenzie Elementary School past school term. 

Talents
Enjoy good music and collection of  Big Band Music CD’s; took doll making class and made several dolls for my two great granddaughters (both named after me). 

Mother
Velma Patterson Rucker – native of Carroll County, TN.  Was floral designer for son-in-law, Joe Routon, for 15 years at his Greystone Flower Shop. 

Father
Rev. Edward Birten Rucker, high school teacher and Methodist  minister – native of Murfreesboro, TN.

Sister:  Virginia Rucker Routon (wife of Joe Routon, Sr.) – retired from bank,  deceased 2008.

Robert Rucker – deceased 1997 – was Sears/school/ambulance dealer
